## Embracing New Beginnings: Our Journey from Bottineau County to Kansas.

Packing our kitchen away,
The past few years have been challenging. The year 2024 was difficult for us. With my mother-in-law falling ill, we moved in to provide full-time care for her. After seven months of hospice care, she passed away shortly after Thanksgiving. We believed that was the most challenging period we would face. During this time, we were opening a store in Bottineau, ND, called Scandia Market. I had moved all my supplies in, and we worked diligently for months. The store opened on February 3rd, 2025, but on the 20th, we received news about our daughter that compelled us to pack our belongings again. I arranged for a local woman to take over the store, and we began our journey to Kansas. We are currently in a 90-day closing, with a closing date set for June 11th, to facilitate our move to Kansas and embark on a new chapter. Join us as I document the journey, our settling into a new environment, constructing enclosures for our animals, and most importantly, embracing the fresh start we all need after our recent challenges.
